BABY & CHILDREN PHOTOGRAPHY
WHAT HAPPENS ON THE DAY OF THE PHOTO-SHOOT?
Simply put, I come out to your house, and set up a studio in your front room. I set up my professional lighting kit and plain white or black background and you can have a professional photo-shoot take place in your own home.
When you book a photo-shoot with me you book a professional, personal and friendly service. I arrange a time that will suit you, morning, noon or night, to come out to your house.
It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to set up, when I am setting up I like to have a discussion to get a feel for what kind of pictures you are looking for, once this is established we run through a set of approximately 50 pictures, I then download these to my laptop so you can see what we have so far and whether or not this is the type of images you are looking for, this way we can ensure you get what you want. This also allows time for a costume change!!
In some cases the client has liked the very first picture, other times especially with young children it can take a bit longer. I do not put a time limit on how long the photo-shoot will take as everyone is different, however when taking pictures of young children they usually give you about a hour before they start getting board, however as I said earlier everyone is different.
The idea is to have fun, you get the best pictures when the smile is natural. Taking the pictures in your house rather than a studio tend to keep kids a lot more relaxed and they have a lot more fun, especially showing me their latest toys and in the past even taking pictures of the toys, it’s all a good laugh.
Once you are happy with the pictures that have been taken we go through all of them eliminating any you are not happy with, and marking the ones you really like, this bit can usually take longer than the photo-shoot itself!!
You then decide what ones you want, whether you would like them in colour, black and white, or both; I can let you see this at the time.
HOW MUCH DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED?
A £50.00 deposit is required on the day of the photo-shoot, with a balance to follow when I bring you the prints.
WHAT IF I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH SPACE IN MY HOUSE?
If you feel there would not be enough room, I can arrange to hire a room (at a minimal extra cost) in a local community centre. This also works well for large family group pictures.
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Every Wedding day is unique and I am privileged to be given the responsibility of capturing your special day. Every wedding is unique, and so is your wedding photographs, my aim is to provide you with pictures that you can look back and remind you of the love, laughter, beauty and smiles of your Wedding day.
HOW MUCH DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED?
A £100.00 non-refundable deposit is required to book your date. It is advisable to book early to avoid disappointment.
HOW LONG DO YOU STAY AT OUR WEDDING?
My packages are designed around what the client would require, this can range from 3 hours during the ceremony and pictures taken at a location to the full day from the Bride getting ready through to the first dance.
DO YOU CHARGE FOR TRAVEL?
Travel is included in the package where the destination is within 2 hour radius of Carrickfergus, this includes the majority of Northern Ireland, for destinations further a-field please contact me for prices on travel.
DO YOU HAVE TERMS & CONDITIONS?
Yes I do and the Bride and Groom are asked to sign a Contract with Living Lens Photography before the date of your Wedding. This Contract is designed to cover you as well as the Photographer.
HOW LONG DO YOU NEED FOR PHOTOS?
I try to be as quick as possible and can usually get all the pictures on location between 1 to
1 ½ hours.
ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN COSTS?
No, the prices quoted are fully inclusive.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE SICK ON THE DAY?
This has never happened, but I have a network of photographers who I can call upon if needed.
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO OUR HOTEL?
I have been to most hotels in the County Antrim and County Down area, however if I have not been to your hotel I will visit this hotel before the Wedding Day. This also applies to the location you are planning on going to after the ceremony (if any). For every wedding I design photo plan before the wedding day so there is no confusion as to where to go for the best pictures at the location.
PET PORTRAITURE
Most pet owners tend to treat their pets as part of the family, I am a perfect example of this owning a cat and two dogs.
WHERE DOES THE PHOTO-SHOOT TAKE PLACE?
The pictures can be taken in one of two ways. Either a professional photoshoot in your own home using studio lighting and professional background, or on location within 20 miles of the Carrickfergus area.
HOW LONG DOES THE PHOTO-SHOOT TAKE?
As with baby and children portraiture I do not set a time limit on the photo-shoot and you will see the pictures on my laptop as we go.
CAN I SEE THE PICTURES STRAIGHT AWAY?
Yes, during the photo-shoot you will be able to see all the pictures taken and choose your favorites. If the photoshoot is on location, we will arrange a suitable time for me to call back with you to go through the pictures taken and again choose your favouites.

ARE YOU AFRAID OF ANY ANIMALS?
None that I have met so far, I have held snakes and spiders, various types of lizards, love dogs and cats and anything furry. If you treat an animal with respect in most cases it pays this back tenfold.
MODEL PHOTOGRAPHY
Putting together a Portfolio of work for a model is as unique as the model themselves. For this reason I have not stated a price for this service, but please do not let that put you off. I like to keep my prices very competitive, keeping of course a very professional service. So if you are interested please feel free to contact me.
I have been previously employed by Hair Stylists who have entered models into the very competitive L'Oreal Colour Trophy competition and indeed got through to the Belfast Finals based on the pictures entered.
